The patronal feast of Tronzano Vercellese

The Saints Peter and Paul Festival is the patronal feast of Tronzano Vercellese, a small town in the rice-growing plains of the Vercelli Province, in the heart of Piedmont. The event is dedicated to the two saints who are the titular patrons of the local parish, with civil celebrations traditionally held in early July, on the weekend closest to the liturgical feast day of June 29th.

For a few days, the entire town unites around its traditions: the festival combines religious devotion with a more convivial, popular atmosphere, offering a calendar that alternates between church services, community gatherings, and plenty of entertainment for families, young people, and visitors from the surrounding areas.

Where it takes place: Area Fontana

The heart of the event is the Area Fontana, located along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, an open-air space where food stalls, the live music stage, and areas for themed nights are set up. Nearby, the funfair also comes to life—an essential attraction for children and families that remains open throughout the festivities.

Cuisine and culinary tradition

The gastronomic aspect is a hallmark of the festival. Every evening, the stalls offer Piedmontese dishes and local specialties: among the most iconic are the snails, the true signature dish of the feast, which can also be ordered for takeaway during the first few minutes of the evening opening. The dinners are organized by local associations and village volunteers who have kept this tradition alive for generations.

Music, themed nights, and youth

The evenings are brought to life by concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, and shows that draw crowds from across the region. A special role is played by the Youth Festival, organized in collaboration with the Tronzano Youth Council, which offers a different themed night each year, engaging new generations and renewing the spirit of the celebration.

A community festival

Promoted by the Pro Loco of Tronzano Vercellese in collaboration with local associations, the Saints Peter and Paul parish, and the Municipality, the festival represents much more than a simple event: it is a moment for the Tronzano community to come together, reconnect with its roots, and welcome visitors from neighboring towns in the Vercelli Province. It is an authentic experience, far from the scale of large commercial fairs, where you can rediscover the genuine flavor of Piedmontese village festivals.
