Sagra in centro is an event that, for two consecutive evenings, transforms Piazza Eduardo De Filippo—located in the PIME area in the center of Trentola Ducenta, in the Province of Caserta—into a large open-air space dedicated to taste, social connection, and entertainment. The underlying concept is simple and quintessentially Campanian: bring together tables, street food, music, and families in an illuminated square, and let the evening take its course.

The formula combines gastronomic tradition, live music, and activities for all ages. Throughout the square, you will find food stalls, a market area, workshops, DJ sets, and musical performances, with the participation of various local associations. It is not a festival dedicated to a single local product, but a well-rounded town square celebration where food serves as the perfect excuse to bring the community together.

The menu: from home-style cooking to street food

The heart of the event remains the table. The menu announced by the organizers features some of the most beloved specialties of Campanian tradition and street food:

• Pasta alla siciliana and pasta e fagioli
• Pizza
• Cuoppo di pesce, the traditional Neapolitan cone of mixed fried seafood
• Hot dogs and stuffed pizza with sausage and friarielli

Trentola Ducenta is a town of just under 21,000 inhabitants in the Province of Caserta, in Campania, in the heart of the Agro Aversano: a densely populated and cultivated plain, just a few kilometers from Aversa, about twenty kilometers from the provincial capital Caserta, and slightly further from Naples. It is a territory historically tied to agriculture and viticulture—the Asprinio d'Aversa, grown on tall trees, is the symbolic grape of this area—and today it is highly urbanized, where town festivals maintain an important role in the collective calendar.

Those arriving from out of town for the festival will find themselves a short distance from some of the most visited destinations in northern Campania: the Royal Palace of Caserta, the historic center of Aversa with its Norman churches, and, towards the coast, the Domitian coastline. An evening in the square in Trentola Ducenta can therefore easily be incorporated into a broader weekend trip.
