Before becoming the famous seaside resort everyone knows, Jesolo was Equilium, a settlement linked to the history of the Venetian lagoon. It is in this historic heart — Jesolo Paese, far from the beach and seaside tourism — that Equilium in Festa, the festival of the patron saint San Giovanni Battista, takes place every June.
A week of celebration
For about a week, the historic centre comes alive with a rich calendar of events. Food stalls offer traditional Venetian dishes, while concerts, family shows, and entertainment fill the evenings. Among the most cherished events is the "Cena delle contrade" (Dinner of the districts), which opens the festivities, involving the different districts of the town.

The 2026 edition of Equilium in Festa enlivens the historic centre of Jesolo Paese from 19 to 25 June, on the occasion of the patron saint festival of San Giovanni Battista. The programme combines religious and popular events: food stalls with traditional Venetian dishes, concerts, family shows, the procession of the Saint, and the traditional evening fireworks. The festivities open on 19 June with the "Cena delle contrade".
