The Lemene eel festival
The Sagra del Bisat is the event that celebrates eel — bisat in the Veneto dialect — in the hamlet of Cintello, in Teglio Veneto, in eastern Veneto in the province of Venice. The Associazione Sagra del Bisat was founded in the eighties by a group of volunteers who wanted to promote the fish once caught in abundance in the nearby Lemene river.
River cuisine
The absolute star is eel, offered grilled and stewed (the latter on Saturdays and Sundays). Alongside the bisat, the food stand offers gnocchi with ragù, fried calamari, beans and mixed grills. The festival has chosen to serve dishes in eco-friendly materials, with attention to sustainability.
Music, sport and solidarity
The evenings are enlivened by DJs and orchestras for dancing, while the calendar offers events for everyone: the theatrical performance, the 'Pedalata in giallo' (yellow bike ride), the Green Volley tournament and the solidarity dinner. Supported by the patronage of the Municipality of Teglio Veneto, the Sagra del Bisat is a summer event that combines gastronomic tradition, fun and community spirit.

The Sagra del Bisat 2026 is scheduled from June 26 to July 12 in Cintello di Teglio Veneto. The star is eel: grilled and stewed (Saturday and Sunday), along with gnocchi with ragù, fried calamari, beans, and grills. Evenings are enlivened by DJs and orchestras, with a rich program of sports, theatrical, and solidarity events. Organized by the Associazione Sagra del Bisat with the patronage of the Municipality of Teglio Veneto.
