Monzambano Celebrates Its Patron Saint

The Sagra di San Bartolomeo is the patron saint festival of Monzambano (Province of Mantua), dedicated to the village's patron saint, celebrated on August 24th. For three evenings, the town centre comes alive around Piazza Tito Zaniboni and the Piazzetta delle Arti, where the stalls and performances of a festival deeply felt by the community of the morainic hills of Garda are concentrated.

Food, Games, and Music

The heart of the festival is the food stall, open every evening from 7:30 PM, offering traditional local dishes accompanied by wines and beer. A play area with inflatables is set up for the little ones, while the evening program focuses heavily on live music, with a rotation of tribute bands, dance orchestras, and DJ sets that get the audience dancing and singing until late at night.

A Community Festival

Organized with the contribution of the local associations, the Sagra di San Bartolomeo combines the religious dimension of the patron saint festival with the popular and convivial aspect typical of Lombard summer festivals. It is an event that closes the summer season in Monzambano, bringing together residents, holidaymakers, and visitors from the Mantua Garda area in a festive and social atmosphere.
