The parish festival of September in the hamlet of Palazzolo
The Sagra di Palazzolo is the parish festival of the hamlet of Palazzolo di Sona, in the province of Verona, dedicated to Saint Louis and Saint Constance. It takes place in September and is one of the most cherished autumn events for the community, bringing together residents and visitors around tradition and conviviality.
The festival unfolds between the parish sports field, built by volunteers in the 1960s behind the church, and Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The sports field hosts the food and wine stall, orchestras with a dance floor, various shows, and attractions; in the square, there are concerts by youth bands, fairground rides, exhibitions, the beer stand, and market stalls.
With good food, music, a charity raffle, fairground rides, and entertainment, the Sagra di Palazzolo is a moment of identity for the hamlet, where the religious dimension of the patronal festival intertwines with the popular one. Organized by the parish with the work of many volunteers, the festival renews a community tradition deeply rooted in the territory of the Municipality of Sona every year.
In 2026, the hamlet of Palazzolo di Sona will once again celebrate its Sagra di San Luigi e Santa Costanza, with five to six days of festivities including food and wine stalls, orchestras, and a dance floor at the parish sports field, and concerts, fairground rides, exhibitions, and markets in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The exact date (usually in the second week of September) will be confirmed by the organizing parish closer to the event.
Detailed program coming soon: it will be announced by the parish of Palazzolo in the weeks preceding the festival. The established format includes the food and wine stall, orchestras with a dance floor, shows, and attractions at the parish sports field, and youth bands, fairground rides, exhibitions, a beer stand, and a market in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
