In Mioglia, a municipality in the Province of Savona nestled among the woods of the Erro Valley bordering Piedmont, the Sagra dello Gnocco is the festival that for over twenty years has drawn lovers of good food to the Savona hinterland. Organised by the Pro Loco Mioglia, it is one of the most cherished events of the summer season.
Three Ligurian traditional sauces
The absolute star is the gnocchi, served in the three most classic variations of Ligurian cuisine: with pesto, with tocco (the typical Genoese meat ragù), and with porcini mushrooms, the prime ingredient from the Apennine woods surrounding the village. Alongside the signature dish, stalls offer other local specialities, in a village festival atmosphere that lasts for three days.
An authentic hinterland event
For 2026, the Sagra dello Gnocco has been included in the regional calendar of Authentic Ligurian Events, an award that recognises festivals capable of promoting local products and traditions. For those wishing to discover a less touristy Liguria, far from the beaches and immersed in greenery, Mioglia and its sagra are a genuine destination.
Sagra dello Gnocco di Mioglia — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the 21st, is confirmed in Mioglia from July 3rd to 5th and is part of the regional calendar of Authentic Ligurian Events. The Pro Loco is bringing back gnocchi in the versions with pesto, tocco, and porcini mushrooms, accompanied by other local specialities.
The detailed evening program, including musical performances, will be released by Pro Loco Mioglia closer to the event.

How to get there
Mioglia can be reached from the A26 motorway, Ovada exit, then follow signs for Valle Erro; or from Savona, heading inland towards Sassello and the hinterland. These are mountain roads, so allow extra time.

In 2026, from July 3rd to 5th. Food stalls open in the evenings during the festival.

Free. Pay for food and drinks at the Pro Loco stalls.
