The absolute stars are the fresh handmade orecchiette pasta, prepared according to tradition and served with various sauces, from the classic tomato sauce to richer seasonings.
A Parish and Community Festival
The festival is organised by the Parish of Sant'Antonio di Padova in Nova Siri Marina and takes place in early August, coinciding with the feast of the Madonna del Carmine. Alongside the orecchiette, there are sausage sandwiches, watermelon, local red and rosé wine, and other drinks, all in a popular and welcoming atmosphere that attracts both residents and tourists holidaying on the coast.
Music, Dancing, and Fun
The evening comes alive with music and group dances in the squares of the Marina, including Piazza Massimo Troisi, where the festivities continue late into the night.
