The festival of Croce di Piave
The Sagra della Madonna del Carmine is the traditional village festival of the hamlet of Croce di Piave, in Musile di Piave, province of Venice. It takes place every year in July, around the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 15th), and attracts residents from the hamlet and nearby towns in eastern Veneto.
Food and conviviality
The heart of the festival is the food stall, which in 2017 received the "Vota la Sagra del Cuore" (Vote for the Festival of the Heart) award from the diocesan weekly La Vita del Popolo. Featuring local cuisine, takeaway service, dancing evenings, a lottery, and fireworks displays, the festival offers several days of conviviality in Piazza Tito Acerbo.
Tradition and community
Organized by the parish of Croce di Piave with the support of volunteers, the festival is a deeply rooted event in the community's life and is part of the summer program MusilEstate of the Municipality of Musile di Piave. It's an opportunity to discover the authenticity of a Veneto region made of village festivals, popular faith, and outdoor dining along the Piave river.
Sagra della Madonna del Carmine — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Sagra della Madonna del Carmine will liven up the hamlet of Croce di Piave (Musile di Piave, VE) from July 10th to 20th, with the highlight being the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on July 15th.
Throughout the festival days, Piazza Tito Acerbo will host gastronomic evenings with the award-winning food stall, dancing evenings, a lottery, and fireworks displays. The festival is part of the MusilEstate 2026 program.
