The patronal feast of Croviana in Val di Sole
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Sagra de San Zorz (Saint George Festival) is the patronal feast of Croviana, a small village nestled on a wide plain in the Val di Sole, in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Dedicated to Saint George, the town's patron saint and the namesake of the ancient parish church dating back to the mid-12th century, the festival has always been the most cherished event of the year for the entire local community.
Organized by the Gruppo Giovani Croviana, the event traditionally spans three days, usually towards the end of April, around the feast day of Saint George on April 23rd. The program alternates between dance evenings and live music, dinners featuring traditional Trentino dishes, Holy Mass in honor of the patron saint, and activities designed for families and children.
Under the heated marquee set up for the occasion, you can experience the typical atmosphere of mountain festivals: brass bands and folk groups, DJ sets, group dancing, and a bar and kitchen service that keeps the energy high throughout the three days. The festival is, above all, a moment of gathering that brings together the inhabitants of Croviana and the neighboring villages of the Val di Sole in a spirit of joy and belonging.
The village of Croviana, near Malé and Monclassico, is a popular destination for mountain lovers and those exploring the valley's hiking and cycling trails. It is also home to the Bee Museum (Mulino Museo dell'Ape) and is located along the Val di Sole cycle path. The Sagra de San Zorz adds a touch of popular tradition to this natural setting, passed down by the local youth as a sign of their deep connection to their land.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: we recommend checking the social media channels of the Gruppo Giovani Croviana for updates.
