Food and wine festival on the Lendinuso seafront
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Sabbia, Suoni e Sapori festival is one of the most anticipated summer events in Torchiarolo, a small town in the province of Brindisi overlooking the lower Adriatic coast of Salento. The event takes place in the seaside hamlet of Lendinuso, along its characteristic promenade, transforming the waterfront into a vibrant festival space where gastronomy, music, and crafts come together.
The heart of the festival lies in the food stalls managed by local associations, offering typical Salento dishes at affordable prices. Specialties include pittule, bruschetta, grilled meats, seafood, and seasonal fruit, all paired with local wines and beverages. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the simple, authentic cuisine of this part of Puglia in an informal and convivial setting just steps from the beach.
Each evening, the culinary offerings are complemented by live music performances, with bands and cover acts ranging from funk and soul to traditional folk music, alongside DJ sets. A must-visit is the flea market, curated by the PromoSalento association, featuring stalls with trinkets, handicrafts, and vintage items that make for a pleasant evening stroll along the promenade.
The Sabbia, Suoni e Sapori festival is part of the Estate Torchiarolese calendar, a series of events promoted by the Municipal Administration that spans the summer months across the main town, the hamlet of Torre San Gennaro, and the marina of Lendinuso. The festival serves as a gathering point for the community and a draw for the many vacationers who choose this stretch of the Salento coast, between Brindisi and the border of the Lecce area, for their summer holidays.
Attending the festival is a great way to experience Lendinuso and the Torchiarolo coastline, with its sandy beaches, dunes, and clear waters. The event combines a sense of community with pride in the food and wine traditions of the Municipality of Torchiarolo, in an authentic corner of Puglia still untouched by mass tourism.
The Sabbia, Suoni e Sapori festival returns, according to tradition, in the month of August to Lendinuso, a marina of Torchiarolo (province of Brindisi). The official dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been released; they will be communicated by the Municipal Administration along with the Estate Torchiarolese schedule. The ingredients that make the event popular remain confirmed: stalls with typical Salento products, evenings of live music, and the flea market on the seafront.
The festival is held on the promenade of the hamlet of Lendinuso, a marina of Torchiarolo (BR), in the Adriatic Salento.
By car, take the SS16 Brindisi-Lecce road, exit at Torchiarolo, and continue towards the coast until you reach Lendinuso. The nearest train station is Brindisi, on the Adriatic line, from which you can reach Torchiarolo by car or local bus. The reference airport is Brindisi-Salento.
Admission to the festival is free. Costs are based on consumption at the food stalls, which offer affordable prices. We recommend arriving in the evening and parking in the areas near the promenade.
