The footrace through the hills of Buggiano in the heart of the Bella Vista Social Fest
The Run per Colli, also known as Rundagiata per Colli, is a footrace held in Buggiano, a small town in the Province of Pistoia nestled in the hills of the Valdinievole, in Tuscany. The event starts from the central Piazza del Grano in Borgo a Buggiano and crosses the town streets before climbing toward the scenic trails of the hills, offering participants glimpses of historic villages and the Tuscan countryside.
The race is organized by the Cooperativa Sociale Selva in collaboration with the JFF (Just for Fun) group and is designed to welcome everyone: those who want to test themselves in the competitive event and those who prefer to experience the course in a more relaxed way in the non-competitive version. The route alternates between urban stretches and rural sections, remaining open to traffic and therefore assisted, but must be traveled in compliance with the highway code.
The Run per Colli is not an isolated race: it is part of the Bella Vista Social Fest and the Sgranar per Colli event, a three-day celebration of sport, food and wine walks, bike rides, live music, and social interaction that enlivens Buggiano at the beginning of summer. After crossing the finish line, the party continues with refreshments along the route, the final maccheronata, and the festival's evening concerts, which are dedicated to new Italian pop music and are free to attend.
A perfect opportunity to combine a passion for running with the discovery of the Valdinievole area, in a festive atmosphere that is the true hallmark of the Buggiano community.
