Rubicone Live: Summer in Music in Gatteo Mare
Rubicone Live is one of the most beloved music festivals on the Romagna coast. Promoted by the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Gatteo, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, it animates the Arena Rubicone in Gatteo Mare throughout the summer, one of the largest open-air amphitheatres on the Romagna Riviera, set within the Don Guanella Gardens just a stone's throw from the sea.
The concept is simple and successful: every weekend, from July to September, an evening dedicated to a tribute band or a cover band that revisits the repertoire of music legends. Over ten events spanning Italian pop-rock to international evergreen hits, capable of filling the arena with audiences of all ages.
A Free Festival for Everyone
One of Rubicone Live's strengths is its completely free entry: all evenings are open access, with shows starting at 9:30 PM. It's the ideal formula for a summer evening with family or friends, perhaps combined with a stroll along the promenade or dinner at one of Gatteo Mare's many restaurants.
The Arena Rubicone is located on Via A. Gramsci and is easily accessible by both car and public transport, conveniently situated relative to the seaside resort's accommodation facilities. The festival is part of a packed summer calendar, which in Gatteo Mare features over two hundred events annually, including concerts, shows, and entertainment.
Tributes to Music Legends
On the Arena Rubicone stage, bands perform celebrating artists such as Zucchero, Queen, Pooh, Vasco Rossi, 883, and Nomadi, as well as evenings dedicated to the greatest hits of pop, rock, and dance from the seventies to today. A lineup that blends nostalgia and celebration, perfect for the holiday crowds of Emilia-Romagna.
Rubicone Live — edition 2026
The Rubicone Live 2026 festival takes place at the Arena Rubicone in Gatteo Mare (FC) from July 5 to September 5, with events every weekend and free entry. The program celebrates major Italian and international music artists through the best tribute bands on the scene.
Some announced evenings feature a tribute to Zucchero, an homage to Queen, the hits of 883 and Max Pezzali, Vasco Rossi's successes, and Pooh, as well as evenings dedicated to pop-rock and dance classics. The complete schedule is finalized and updated by the Gatteo Municipality's Tourism Department during the season.

July 5 — Funky Gallo (Zucchero Tribute Band)
- 9:30 PM — Tribute concert to Zucchero: the best pop songs of the Emilian artist, from historical hits to more recent sounds.
July 12 — Queen Vision (Queen Tribute Band)
- 9:30 PM — Tribute concert to Queen, with the faithful repertoire of one of Italy's best tribute bands.

- Pop Deluxe — the best of Italian and international pop-rock from the eighties to today.
- Max Pezzali Tribute Band — homage to Max Pezzali and 883.
- Roxy Bar — cover band dedicated to the greatest hits of Vasco Rossi.
- Hoop — an explosion of pop-rock to the unforgettable notes of Pooh.
All evenings start at 9:30 PM at Arena Rubicone, with free entry. The schedule continues every weekend until September 5, 2026; dates and artists are progressively updated by the organization.
