About Roll!Fest

Roll!Fest is Italy's largest festival dedicated to role-playing games and the fantasy genre. For three days, the medieval town of Bracciano, overlooked by the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, becomes the capital of RPGs: dozens of gaming tables, LARPs, illustration exhibitions, publishing previews, concerts, and international guests. An event that blends fantasy, art, and community in the heart of the Lazio region, just a few kilometers from Rome.

Roll!Fest, the Italian capital of role-playing

Every July, the medieval town of Bracciano, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital (Lazio), transforms into an immense adventure playground. Roll!Fest – Bracciano International RPG Festival is now the largest Italian event entirely dedicated to role-playing games (RPGs) and the fantasy imagination: streets, squares, and historic cloisters become the stage for three days of epic battles, mysteries to solve, and extraordinary characters to meet. Launched in 2025, the festival immediately drew thousands of enthusiasts from all over Italy, thanks to a formula that weaves together gaming, art, pop culture, and heritage appreciation.

A festival spread throughout the town

The beating heart of the event is the Cloister of the former Augustinian Convent, where dozens of gaming tables open to everyone are concentrated. Surrounding it, the historic center hosts thematic areas dedicated to every facet of the fantasy world:

  • Gaming Area: seventy-plus tables active for three days, with open games, demo sessions, and matches with the authors;
  • Fantasy Alley: the artist alley featuring illustrators and independent fantasy artists;
  • Excalibur Park: an open-air fantasy village dedicated to LARP, medieval combat, and historical crafts;
  • Arcane Hall: the space for talks, panels, and meetings with guests and game designers;
  • Lab Area: laboratories, workshops, and game jams;
  • Main Stage: concerts, shows, and special gaming sessions;
  • Nerd Market and food area: publishers, specialized shops, and refreshments.

International guests and previews

Roll!Fest brings over eighty Italian and international guests to Bracciano, including authors, illustrators, voice actors, and creators. Past editions have welcomed names such as Borislav Slavov, composer of the soundtracks for Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2, and illustrator Katerina Ladon, who has worked for Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. The program includes dozens of publishing previews, illustration exhibitions set up in churches and historic locations, cosplay competitions, role-playing contests, and activities for families and beginners.

Bracciano and its lake

The setting is one of the most evocative towns in the Lazio region: Bracciano, overlooking the volcanic lake of the same name and dominated by the majestic Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, one of the best-preserved Renaissance manors in Italy. This natural and monumental backdrop makes the festival a unique experience, where the fiction of role-playing games dialogues with the real history of the medieval walls. Less than an hour from Rome, Roll!Fest has become an unmissable appointment for players, game masters, artists, and curious visitors of all ages.

Roll!Fest — edition 2026

The second edition of Roll!Fest took place from July 10 to 12, 2026, in Bracciano, themed "The Call to Adventure." Three days with over 100 events, 70 gaming tables, more than 100 exhibitors, 6 exhibitions, and over 80 Italian and international guests, in the medieval town overlooked by the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle.

Roll!Fest 2026 – The Call to Adventure

The second edition of Roll!Fest was held from July 10 to 12, 2026, in the historic center of Bracciano (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio). The guiding theme, The Call to Adventure, inspired panels, workshops, and gaming sessions: that moment in stories when one leaves the ordinary world to venture into the unknown. The festival featured over 100 events, more than 100 exhibitors, 70 gaming tables, 6 exhibitions, dozens of publishing previews, and over 80 guests including authors, illustrators, and creators.

Activities were distributed across the town's thematic areas: the Augustinian Cloister for gaming, the Fantasy Alley for illustrators, Excalibur Park dedicated to LARP and medieval combat, the Arcane Hall for talks, and the Main Stage with live evening music. Among the most anticipated guests were composer Borislav Slavov (Baldur's Gate 3) and illustrator Katerina Ladon (D&D, Magic).
