About Rokkawine

In June, Rokkawine combines trekking and wine along the paths of Roccavignale, in the Savona Bormida Valley. Two routes through caves, vineyards, castles and historic mills, over 40 wineries with progressive tastings and an afternoon of dancing and live music in Pianissolo: a food and wine event that grows year by year, with hundreds of registered walkers.

Walking among the glasses

In Roccavignale, a municipality in the Bormida Valley in the province of Savona, Rokkawine is the event that combines hiking with the discovery of wine. The food and wine trekking formula, increasingly popular in Liguria, is enriched here by a surprising landscape between nature and history.

Two routes through nature and history

Two routes are available, 9 and 13 kilometers long, starting from the Snake Bar in Valzemola and ending in the hamlet of Pianissolo. The walk passes through the "Tascere" cave (known as the "Flintstones' house"), the Roccavinealis vineyard, the local castle, the church of Sant'Eugenio, and culminates among lakes, historic mills, and the chapel of Sant'Elena.

Wineries, flavors, and music

Along the route, over 40 wineries offer progressive tastings - sparkling, red, white, and rosé wines - paired with local products. In the afternoon, in Pianissolo, the party continues with tastings, dancing, lindy hop performances, and live music. An event that has seen over three hundred registrations for the walk alone, a sign of its constant growth in the Savona hinterland.
