Ritrovarsi Festival

A day to come together

The Ritrovarsi Festival is an independent, charitable event held in Borgo a Buggiano, a village in the municipality of Buggiano in the province of Pistoia, in the heart of the Tuscan Valdinievole. It takes place at the Centro Giovani OX on Via Cesare Battisti, a multifunctional space that has long hosted concerts, rehearsal rooms, courses, and cultural activities for local youth. The festival was conceived to remember Alessio Pagnini, a music enthusiast and contributor to the webzine Rock Nation, who passed away in June 2025: the festival date falls symbolically exactly one year after his passing.

Music, creativity, and solidarity

More than just a concert, Ritrovarsi is a day built around the things Alessio loved. The afternoon opens with a series of creative workshops for adults and children, ranging from floral crown making to clay modeling, beginner embroidery, and crafting wooden candle holders. In parallel, a photo exhibition featuring shots taken by Alessio is set up, available for a voluntary donation.

As evening falls, the space transforms: a DJ set and a series of live concerts by bands and singer-songwriters from the Tuscan independent scene take the stage, while volunteers from the participating associations share the purpose of the fundraising efforts.

A charitable cause

Admission to the festival is free, and all proceeds from activities and donations are donated to charity: support goes to AIL — Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma, Pistoia section, and Sea Shepherd, an organization dedicated to protecting our seas and oceans. Two causes that intertwine solidarity for people with care for the environment.
