Two days of craft beer, street food, and live music in the heart of Ripa Teatina
The Ripa Beer Fest is the premier craft beer festival in Ripa Teatina, a small village in the province of Chieti, Abruzzo, nestled in the hills between the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella massif. For an entire weekend, the Piazza Antico Convento Francescano becomes the town's beating heart: breweries, beer taps, food stalls, live music, and entertainment create a festive, convivial atmosphere that delights both adults and children.
The star of the show is craft beer, served on tap alongside a rich selection of street food. At the tables set up in the square, you can dine al fresco, savoring finger foods and traditional dishes in a setting that highlights the culinary excellence of Abruzzo—a land famous for arrosticini, porchetta, and wines like Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
Every evening has its own soundtrack: live bands and DJ sets keep the crowd entertained until late, with repertoires ranging from pop-rock hits to the greatest classics of the eighties and nineties. The Ripa Beer Fest is designed as a gathering point for the entire community and visitors from neighboring towns, who can easily reach Ripa Teatina from Chieti and the coast.
The festival also dedicates plenty of space to the little ones: one of the evenings hosts the Children's White Night, featuring games, inflatables, entertainment, shows, and treats designed for families. This formula combines a beer festival for adults with fun for kids, making the Ripa Beer Fest an event that engages every age group.
Ripa Teatina, also famous as the birthplace of boxing champion Rocky Marciano, offers a village with ancient charm, featuring the parish church of San Pietro and the Franciscan convent of Santa Maria della Pietà . The Ripa Beer Fest is the perfect opportunity to discover this corner of the Chieti province while enjoying good beer, local flavors, and Abruzzese hospitality.
The Ripa Beer Fest 2026 returns to Ripa Teatina (Chieti) on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, based in Piazza Antico Convento Francescano. Two evenings dedicated to craft beer, street food, live music, and fun for all ages. Stalls open in the evening, with breweries, taps, street food, and entertainment bringing the village center to life. The 2026 formula combines the beer festival with an evening entirely dedicated to children, the Children's White Night, for a weekend that blends taste, music, and family fun.
Friday kicks off with the Children's White Night, starting at 6:30 PM, with the town center transformed into a large space dedicated to children and families:
From 8:00 PM, enjoy live music with the FREAKs Live Band. Craft beer and street food stalls open in the evening.
The second evening continues with craft beer, street food, and music. From 8:00 PM, a DJ set featuring an 80s and 90s tribute by Anthology will close out the weekend in style.
