Two days of music, talks, and civic engagement in the historic center of Mercato Saraceno
RiEvolution Fest is one of the liveliest events of the summer in the Savio Valley, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. Every year, for two days, the historic center of Mercato Saraceno becomes an open-air laboratory of ideas, relationships, and shared culture: squares, alleys, and courtyards turn into stages for concerts, talks, exhibitions, and performances. It is an event born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Mercato Saraceno and a network of associations and informal groups, largely youth-led, with the aim of restoring public spaces to their value as places of participation and conscious citizenship.
The festival's hallmark is its multidisciplinary nature: the program ranges from debates on current issues to major evening concerts, including DJ sets, dance, poetry, theatrical performances, and book presentations. Alongside music, civil reflection finds ample space, with meetings dedicated to rights, inequalities, the environment, and communities. The exhibition path, with photographic exhibitions and installations spread throughout the festival spaces, accompanies the visitor throughout the weekend.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for June 5th and 6th, proposed the theme "Borders, Inequalities, Communities" as its common thread: a reflection on the material and immaterial borders that mark our time, the inequalities that fuel them, and the ever-evolving meaning of the word community. The talks in the Area Torretta hosted voices such as Marco Omizzolo, Alessandra Zagli, and Leonardo Pasqui, while the squares and small squares of the village provided the backdrop for concerts, readings, and performances.
All RiEvolution Fest initiatives are free entry, in line with the inclusive and participatory spirit that animates the event, a living expression of the cultural life of Mercato Saraceno and Emilia-Romagna.
The fourth edition of RiEvolution Fest was held on June 5th and 6th, 2026 in Mercato Saraceno, with the theme "Borders, Inequalities, Communities". On Friday, June 5th, from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM, the talks at Area Torretta addressed exploitation and rights with Marco Omizzolo, followed by reflections on communities and internal areas with Alessandra Zagli and Leonardo Pasqui. On Saturday, June 6th, from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, the "Roots in the Sky" nature walk curated by aTrio, new meetings with Pietro Corazza, Chiara Montalti, Virginia Risso, Chiara Guidi, and Roberta Ioli, and in Piazzetta Montalti the reading "A Forbidden Lullaby" dedicated to Palestine and the comedy of Chiara Cami and Aurora Di Marcantonio took place. The soundtrack for the second evening was provided by the band Soundriders starting at 10:30 PM, preceded by Giada Fugazza and Edgar Allan Pop, with a DJ set by Rumors closing the square.
