Rido al Lido – Cabaret Festival is a celebration of comedy and cabaret held in Tortoreto Lido, on the Adriatic coast in the province of Teramo, in the heart of the Abruzzo summer. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Tortoreto through its Tourism and Events department, debuted in 2024 and has quickly become one of the most anticipated highlights of the local summer calendar.
The Rotonda Carducci stage
The heart of the festival is the Rotonda Carducci, overlooking the Lungomare Sirena: an open-air space right by the sea that transforms into a natural theater as the evening air cools. Shows begin around 9:30 PM and feature nationally acclaimed comedians, including familiar faces from television and stars of the Italian cabaret circuit. Admission is free with seating provided, in a format designed for both locals and the many vacationers on the Teramo coast.
Artistic direction and the Premio Sirena
Artistic direction and hosting duties are handled by Alex De Palo, who guides the audience through the evening's various performances. The festival is also home to the Premio Sirena, a lifetime achievement award named after the mermaid, the symbol of Tortoreto, presented to figures who have distinguished themselves in the world of entertainment and culture. The inaugural award in 2025 was presented to Enzo Iacchetti.
A growing festival
- 2024 – First edition featuring Fabrizio Fontana (Capitan Ventosa) and Gene Gnocchi.
- 2025 – Two nights with Enzo Iacchetti, Pino e gli Anticorpi, Samuel il Ventriloquo, and Gianluca Impastato.
- 2026 – The festival expands with two dates on August 21st and 22nd.
Part of the Tortoreto summer
Rido al Lido is part of the rich calendar of summer events in the Municipality of Tortoreto, which animates the seafront and the historic village of Tortoreto Alto between June and September with food festivals, shows, cultural awards, and family-friendly activities. The cabaret festival represents one of the most lighthearted and popular moments of the season, drawing crowds from across the Abruzzo coast and the Teramo hinterland.
Rido al Lido — edition 2026
The third edition of Rido al Lido spans two nights, August 21st and 22nd, 2026, at the Rotonda Carducci in Tortoreto Lido. The lineup announced by the Municipality of Tortoreto brings Stefano Chiodaroli, Emanuela Aureli, I Sequestrattori, and Uccio De Santis to the seafront. Artistic direction and hosting are handled by Alex De Palo. Admission is free with seating; shows are scheduled to begin in the evening.

Getting there
Tortoreto Lido can be reached by car via the A14 motorway (Val Vibrata exit) or the SS16 Adriatic state road. The Alba Adriatica-Nereto-Tortoreto train station is on the Bologna–Bari Adriatic line.

Performances are held at the Rotonda Carducci, on the Lungomare Sirena in Tortoreto Lido.
Admission and times
Free admission with seating. Evenings generally begin around 9:30 PM. Arriving early is recommended to secure a seat.
