About Remoria Festival

Remoria Festival is a vibrant event bringing music, art, sports, and culture to the new square in Corviale, Rome's Municipality XI, set against the backdrop of JDL's iconic 'Icaro' mural. Conceived by the Remoria APS association, it serves as an open-air stage designed as a laboratory for urban regeneration and community engagement: concerts, DJ sets, stand-up comedy, workshops, and sports tournaments transform the neighborhood into a hub for collective creation.

An open-air stage in Corviale

The Remoria Festival was created to bring music, art, and culture to one of the most iconic locations in the Roman suburbs: the new square of Corviale, in Municipality XI of Rome, in the heart of the Lazio region. The event occupies the open space in front of the massive Icaro mural by artist JDL, transforming the famous "Serpentone" building into an urban laboratory for community and cultural innovation.

Music, art, and entertainment

The festival focuses on a multidisciplinary program that blends concerts, DJ sets, artistic performances, and stand-up comedy. For two days, the new square becomes a true urban village, animated from morning to night by diverse forms of expression: from live music to visual arts, and from drawing to live comedy.

Participatory culture and urban regeneration

More than just a series of events, the Remoria Festival is a participatory project: alongside the concerts, there are workshops on comics, printing, urban philosophy, and creative crafts, as well as talks and assemblies dedicated to culture and labor. The goal is to directly involve local residents and restore the square as a space for meeting, exchange, and collective creation.

Sports and community

The sports dimension is an integral part of the festival: soccer, basketball, roundnet, chess, and foosball tournaments, organized in collaboration with local groups, bring the square to life and involve both adults and children. With stalls, workshop areas, refreshment points, and outdoor food trucks, the event fosters a festive atmosphere open to everyone.

A project for the local area

Conceived by the Remoria APS association and curated by Pietro Turano, the festival is produced with Zรจtema Progetto Cultura and promoted as part of the cultural initiatives of Roma Capitale. Built in Corviale, a neighborhood that serves as a symbol of 1970s Roman urban planning, Remoria demonstrates how culture can generate social practices, connections, and new energy in the city's outskirts.

Remoria Festival โ€” edition 2026

Following the success of the first edition in October 2025, the Remoria Festival may return to Corviale in the autumn of 2026. At the moment, the organizers have not yet announced official dates or the program for the new edition: information will be updated as soon as it is confirmed.

The first edition of the Remoria Festival took place in Corviale on October 11 and 12, 2025, featuring concerts, art, sports, and participatory culture. A second edition for 2026 is not currently confirmed: dates, location, and program will be published as soon as the Remoria APS association makes them known.

Programme Remoria Festival 2026

The program for the 2026 edition has not yet been released. The first edition, in October 2025, featured concerts, DJ sets, stand-up comedy, workshops, and sports tournaments in the new Corviale square. Updates on dates and the program will be published as soon as they are available.
