A piece of the UK in the heart of Rome

Roma Brit Fest is the capital's first festival entirely dedicated to British culture. Its inaugural edition in October 2025 brought the atmosphere of great cross-Channel events to the Città dell'Altra Economia in the historic Testaccio district: live music, gastronomy, beer, and UK pop culture gathered in one big, free-entry celebration. A new format for Rome, blending the festive spirit of London pubs with the charm of one of the city's most authentic spaces.

Music: from rock to britpop

The heart of the festival is music. The stage features a mix of live concerts and DJ sets covering the great classics of the British sound, from rock to britpop, with tribute bands paying homage to some of the most beloved names in UK music history. Between live sets, DJs keep the crowd entertained until late at night with hits that defined the island's history, in a continuous dialogue between generations and genres.

British taste: street food, beers, and spirits

The experience is also gastronomic. Stands offer English street food in its most famous versions — fish & chips, meat pies, and burgers — accompanied by British draft beers and themed cocktails. There is also space for gin and whisky masterclasses, with guided tastings exploring the tradition of cross-Channel distillation, as well as markets featuring gadgets, merchandise, and UK pop culture items.

Testaccio and the Città dell'Altra Economia

The setting is the Città dell'Altra Economia, located in the former Mattatoio (slaughterhouse) spaces of Testaccio: a popular and authentic neighborhood in the Municipality of Rome, in the Lazio region, famous for its nightlife, Roman cuisine, and genuine atmosphere. Hosting a festival dedicated to Great Britain here means bringing two vibrant urban cultures together in a place that has long been a landmark for events, markets, and cultural initiatives.

With free admission and a program running from the afternoon until late at night, Roma Brit Fest appeals to a wide audience: British music fans, those curious about UK culture, families, and casual visitors looking for a different kind of evening.
