The Regional Voice Festival «Sulle Ali della Musica» is one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer in Sammichele di Bari, a town in the Metropolitan City of Bari in the heart of the Bari South-East area. Promoted by the «Dino Bianco» Pro Loco, the singing competition provides a platform for the region's young talents, offering them a real stage to prove themselves before an audience and a qualified jury.

How the competition works

The event spans three evenings: two semi-finals and a final. On the stage in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, emerging singers perform songs chosen to showcase their skills. The jury, composed of music industry professionals, evaluates three fundamental elements:

• vocal ability — range, intonation, and technique;
• stage presence — the ability to command the stage and engage the audience;
• interpretation — the soul and personality brought to the performance.

This is not just a contest: «Sulle Ali della Musica» is designed as a true cultural project, an authentic space for artistic expression for those dreaming of a future in music.

A nationally acclaimed jury

Over the years, the final evening has featured prominent names from the Italian music scene. In the 2025 edition, the final jury was chaired by Maestro Mario Rosini, a singer and composer originally from Gioia del Colle, known to the general public for his second-place finish at the 2004 Sanremo Music Festival. The presence of figures of this caliber confirms the festival's growth, now recognized at both a regional and national level and even presented at BIT, the International Tourism Exchange in Milan.

Sammichele di Bari, a land of music and tradition

Known throughout Puglia for its Zampina Festival, Sammichele di Bari is a lively hub that brings its squares to life in summer with concerts and events. «Sulle Ali della Musica» represents its most genuine soul: a grassroots festival built by the volunteer work of the Pro Loco, which fills Piazza Vittorio Veneto every year with families, enthusiasts, and curious visitors.
