The new city music festival in Santeramo in Colle
SANTRA Fest was established in 2026 as the city music festival of Santeramo in Colle, a town in the Murgia hinterland in the province of Bari, Puglia. The initiative stems from a public call launched by the Municipality of Santeramo in Colle in the spring of 2026: the administration decided to provide the city with a structured musical event, entrusted to a selected operator to animate the territory with "contemporary and popular languages" between June 15th and September 30th. The municipal funding, planned for 2026 and 2027, makes SANTRA Fest a project designed to last and take root in the Apulian summer calendar.
The first edition is scheduled for Friday, September 18th, and Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at the Zona PIP Concert Area, the equipped space on the town's industrial outskirts, capable of hosting a stage, audience, and services for a true open-air festival. The event ideally closes the rich "Summer in Santeramo in Colle 2026" program, which brings music, shows, and culture throughout the season to the city's iconic landmarks, from the Grotte di Sant'Angelo to the Palazzo Marchesale, and from urban parks to Piazza Garibaldi.
The festival is divided into two evenings with different characters. The first, on September 18th, is dedicated to the SANTRA Fest Showcase & Contest with free admission: a space for bands and artists to take the stage, with a competitive element designed to highlight emerging talents from the local area and beyond. The second evening, on September 19th, is the Live Concert with paid admission, the highlight of the event.
The hallmark of SANTRA Fest is its stylistic openness: the project embraces pop, rock, hard rock, punk, indie, urban, hip hop, R&B, electronic music, jazz, blues, soul, reggae, metal, world music, and fusion. A choice that reflects the Municipality's desire to speak to diverse audiences—families, young people, and enthusiasts—and to make live music a tool for cultural animation and growth for Santeramo and the entire Bari Murgia area.
As this is the first edition, SANTRA Fest is an event waiting to be discovered: a young festival, supported by the public administration and destined to grow in future seasons. For those living in Santeramo in Colle or visiting Puglia at the end of summer, it is an opportunity to experience two evenings of live music in a new and developing setting, featuring both emerging artists to discover and a major headline concert.
