The Reggae Valley Festival is a music event dedicated to reggae, dancehall, and their modern fusions, held in Cattolica Eraclea, a small town in the province of Agrigento overlooking the stunning Eraclea Minoa area. The event takes place at the Kartodromo Minoa, an open-air venue that, for one late-summer night, transforms into a massive stage capable of hosting audiences from all over Sicily.
The 2025 debut
The first edition, held on August 23, 2025, marked a surprising debut for an area of the Agrigento hinterland often far from major festival circuits. Promoted by the Associazione Just For Fun of Cattolica Eraclea and produced by Level Group, Reggae Valley gathered a national-level line-up in a single evening, confirming the local youth's passion for live music and community.
Rhythm and Mediterranean identity
The festival offers a mix of reggae, dancehall, raggamuffin, and hip-hop—genres that have found one of their spiritual homes in Southern Italy. The choice of Cattolica Eraclea is no coincidence: its proximity to the sea and the landscapes of the Eraclea Minoa Valley gives the evening a relaxed, Mediterranean atmosphere, perfect for sound system culture. Between sets, the stage also features emerging DJs and artists from across the island, creating a festive vibe that unites the various souls of the Sicilian reggae scene.
A local landmark
Beyond the music, Reggae Valley serves as a vital cultural boost for Cattolica Eraclea and the wider Agrigento region. Getting there
The festival is held at the Kartodromo Minoa, near Cattolica Eraclea (AG). By car, take the SS115 towards Sciacca-Agrigento and exit towards Cattolica Eraclea and Eraclea Minoa. The nearest airport is Palermo Punta Raisi, while the reference train station is Agrigento Centrale.
Tickets
For the 2025 edition, tickets started at approximately 18.50 euros, with pre-sales managed online. Prices and details for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers.
Tips
As this is an outdoor evening event in the height of summer, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and planning your transport and accommodation in the vicinity of Cattolica Eraclea or along the Eraclea Minoa coast well in advance.
