Contemporary art collective exhibition between Massa Marittima and Monterotondo Marittimo
Tutto è Energia is a contemporary art collective exhibition held in Massa Marittima, a stunning medieval town in the Colline Metallifere of southern Tuscany, Grosseto province. The heart of the exhibition is Palazzo Del Debbio, whose spacious halls house the selected works, while the project extends to the nearby municipality of Monterotondo Marittimo, including symbolic spaces like MUBIA, the Biancane Geomuseum.
The common thread of the exhibition is energy understood as the fundamental principle of existence—the force that animates the universe, nature, living beings, and the many dimensions of human experience. Artists are invited to interpret this theme through their own sensitivity and expressive language, exploring its infinite forms: from light to life, and from the region's geothermal energy to creative, social, and spiritual power.
The exhibition features works created using a wide variety of artistic techniques: painting, photography, graphic art, sculpture, installation, video art, and mixed media. This diversity of approaches offers the public a collective and plural reflection on one of the most profound and universal questions of our time, bringing together different visions, styles, and generations.
It is no coincidence that the theme of energy finds such concrete roots here: the Colline Metallifere area is one of Italy's most important geothermal zones, where the power of the subsoil has been transformed into energy for over a century. The exhibition thus engages with the history, landscape, and identity of the Grosseto Maremma, intertwining artistic creation with industrial and natural heritage.
The event is organized by the cultural association Art@ltro APS, chaired by Costanza Soprana and active in Massa Marittima for several years, with the patronage of the Municipality of Massa Marittima and the collaboration of local entities. Beyond the main exhibition, the program includes conferences, round tables, educational workshops, and guided tours, making Tutto è Energia a widespread cultural event that highlights the entire Colline Metallifere area in the heart of Tuscany.
The second edition of Tutto è Energia takes place from September 11th to 27th, 2026, with the main venue at Palazzo Del Debbio in Massa Marittima and satellite venues in Monterotondo Marittimo. The theme addresses energy as the primary source of existence, explored in its artistic, scientific, environmental, social, and spiritual dimensions. Alongside the major collective exhibition, the program offers a busy calendar of side events open to the public, with free admission.
The detailed program with full schedules and the names of selected artists will be published by the Art@ltro association in the weeks preceding the event, following the close of the selection process (selected artists to be announced by August 13, 2026).
