The great engines festival in the Ferrari capital
The Red Night of Maranello is the most anticipated summer event in the municipality of the same name, in the heart of the province of Modena and the so-called Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna. For one evening, usually the second Saturday in June, the entire city center transforms into a grand stage dedicated to the myth of the Prancing Horse and the unmistakable red color that has made Ferrari famous worldwide. The event, organized by the Municipality of Maranello with the participation of Ferrari, was established in 2013 and has grown to become one of the most attended popular festivals in the Modenese area.
The most spectacular moment is the Ferrari parade along Via Nazionale, from the historic entrance of the factory to the Cavallino roundabout. The streets and squares of the center are then filled with dozens of cars: a real "red river" of grand tourers from yesterday and today, with historic and collectible models alongside the latest supercars. On the occasion of the festival, Viale Enzo Ferrari, the road that crosses the factory area and is normally off-limits, is also opened to the public, exclusively on foot.
The evening offers a rich program spread throughout the center:
There is no shortage of food and wine: food areas distributed in various squares offer local specialties and street food, while artisan and commercial markets liven up the streets of the center along with shops, bars, and restaurants open until late at night. The Red Night thus combines the passion for engines with the typical conviviality of the Emilian tradition.
Alongside the spectacle, the event retains a strong charitable vocation: in recent editions, part of the proceeds from official merchandise has been donated to local charities. The Red Night is now a free event open to all that, every June, makes Maranello the world capital for engine enthusiasts.
The thirteenth edition of the Red Night will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the center of Maranello. The ingredients that have made the event famous are confirmed: the Ferrari parade along Via Nazionale starting at 7 PM, the opening of Viale Enzo Ferrari to the public on foot ("Ferrari Open", from 7 PM with last entry at 1:30 AM), the exhibition of historic Ferraris in Piazza Libertà and in the streets of the center. The Ferrari Museum will remain open in the evening with a special admission rate.
The music program includes several live performances and DJ sets in the squares, with a grand finale show and entertainment by Radio Bruno until late at night. For families, free go-karts, electric cars, and a funfair are set up, while food areas and artisan and commercial markets liven up the entire center. The event is free and organized by the Municipality of Maranello with the participation of Ferrari.
Maranello is located in the province of Modena, in Emilia-Romagna. By car: take the Modena Sud (A1) or Sassuolo exits, then the highway to Maranello; during the event, the center is closed to traffic, so it's best to use the park-and-ride facilities indicated on the outskirts. By train: Modena station, then intercity buses to Maranello/Sassuolo. Reference airports: Bologna "Marconi" (about 50 km).
Access to the festival is free. The program runs from late afternoon until the early hours of the morning. The evening opening of the Ferrari Museum offers a special reduced rate.
Arrive well in advance to park; wear comfortable shoes; check the updated program on the Maranello Municipality website in the days leading up to the event.
