Radio Italia's major free concert at the Foro Italico in Palermo
Radio Italia Live – The Concert is one of the most popular events of the Italian musical summer. Promoted by Radio Italia, the event splits its venue annually between the North and South of the country: following the historic Milanese date at Piazza Duomo, the massive stage moves to Palermo, where it takes place in the evocative setting of the Foro Italico Umberto I, the expansive lawn overlooking the sea in the heart of the Sicilian capital.
The stage features a rotating lineup of the most beloved protagonists of the national pop and singer-songwriter scene, accompanied live by the Radio Italia Live Orchestra conducted by Maestro Bruno Santori. Hosting duties are entrusted to the station's historic voices, while the evening also serves as a televised event broadcast live. The audience, which reaches tens of thousands of attendees each year, fills the large lawn of the Foro Italico for one of the most anticipated nights of the Palermo summer.
The concert is free to attend: however, to access the area, it is necessary to obtain a free registration, distributed online in the days leading up to the event. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Palermo, represents a significant cultural and tourist attraction for the city and for all of Sicily, capable of enlivening the city's waterfront with music, lights, and thousands of spectators.
The choice of the Foro Italico is no coincidence: this large green space, which stretches along the coast between the port and the Kalsa district, has for years been the symbolic venue for Palermo's major outdoor events. With the stage facing the audience and the sea as a backdrop, the location offers a spectacular setting that combines great Italian music with the charm of the Sicilian capital.
The 2026 edition of Radio Italia Live – The Concert takes place in Palermo on Sunday, June 28, 2026, starting at 8:40 PM at the Foro Italico Umberto I. Once again this year, the evening is accompanied live by the Radio Italia Live Orchestra conducted by Maestro Bruno Santori and narrated by the voices of Radio Italia.
The 2026 cast brings together thirteen protagonists of the Italian music scene, spanning pop, singer-songwriter music, and new talents.
Admission is free: registrations are available on ticketone.it starting at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 15, with a maximum of 2 registrations per user. The lawn area is divided into two sectors with separate entrances, and there is a dedicated zone for people with physical disabilities (dedicated registrations from June 17 on radioitalia.it).
Live accompaniment by the Radio Italia Live Orchestra conducted by Maestro Bruno Santori. Hosting by the voices of Radio Italia (Giuditta Arecco, Daniela Cappelletti, Marco Falivelli, Francesca Leto, Mauro Marino, Enzo Miccio, Paoletta, Emiliano Picardi); introductions by Luca Ward and live theme song performed by Saturnino.
The concert is held at the Foro Italico Umberto I in Palermo, on the city's waterfront. The lawn area is divided into sectors with distinct entrances (Piazza Tonnarazza / via Lincoln side and via Cala / Circolo Canottieri side).
Admission is free upon registration to be requested online at ticketone.it in the days preceding the event (maximum 2 registrations per user). There is an area dedicated to people with physical disabilities, with a raised platform and reserved registration for the individual and a companion.
The Foro Italico is centrally located and within walking distance from the Palermo central station and the historic center. The use of public transport is recommended, given the high turnout and traffic restrictions in the area during the event.
