Quattro Ville in Fiore

A walk through the apple orchards in bloom

The Quattro Ville in Fiore is one of the most beloved walking and tourist events in the Val di Non, located in the municipality of Ville d'Anaunia (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige). It is a non-competitive walk open to everyone, both adults and children, held every spring during the most picturesque time of the year: when the apple blossoms carpet the entire valley in white, creating one of the most famous natural spectacles in Trentino.

The event began nearly fifty years ago as a running race and has since evolved into a grand community festival that combines sport, nature, tradition, and gastronomy. The name refers to the ancient "villas" of the territory—the villages that today make up the municipality of Ville d'Anaunia: Tassullo, Campo, Nanno, Pavillo, Rallo, Sanzenone, and Sanzeno.

The routes and stages

The event offers two tracks, a short one of approximately 5 kilometers and a long one of approximately 11 kilometers, both starting from the SARC cooperative warehouse in Tassullo. The routes, partly paved and partly on farm roads through the orchards, pass through the villages of Campo, Nanno, Pavillo, Rallo, and Sanzenone, touching some of the most evocative sites in the area:

• Castel Valer, one of the best-preserved manors in Trentino;
• Castel Nanno, overlooking the valley;
• four ancient churches in the area, opened for the occasion;
• the apple orchards in bloom that color the entire plain white.

Along the way, various refreshment points managed by volunteers are set up, where participants can refuel with typical local products.

Festival, entertainment, and flavors of the valley

Quattro Ville in Fiore is more than just a walk: upon returning and along the route, participants will find a rich program of family entertainment, with magic shows, soap bubbles, and musical performances. There is no shortage of Trentino gastronomy, featuring polenta, sausage, and typical Val di Non products, primarily apples.

The event is organized by Pro Loco Tassullo APS with the support of over a hundred volunteers and the Trentino Federation of Pro Loco. Thanks to its organizational care and the value of the territory, the event has been awarded the UNPLI "Quality Event" recognition.

A spring appointment in the heart of Val di Non

With over three thousand participants in its busiest editions, more than half of whom come from outside the region, Quattro Ville in Fiore has become a symbol of spring in the Anaunia area. Walking among the flowering apple orchards, castles, and villages of Ville d'Anaunia means experiencing the beauty of the landscape, the history, and the hospitality of one of the most beautiful valleys in Trentino-Alto Adige in a single day.
