• returning through Via Mazzini and Corso Cavour
• the Lungomare Caboto, overlooking the gulf
• Via Nettuno, the neighborhood known as «Quartuccio»
• returning to Via Indipendenza and concluding at the starting church around 9:00 PM

The Evening Atmosphere

The passage along the Lungomare Caboto, with the sea of the Gulf of Gaeta as a backdrop, is one of the most evocative moments of the entire Holy Week in Lazio. Liturgical chants, prayers, and long silences mark the progress of the procession, while torches and votive lights illuminate the path. For the faithful, it is the spiritual culmination of Holy Week: an opportunity to meditate on the Passion of Jesus, the meaning of sacrifice, and the hope of redemption.
