The Pro-Ant Festival in Monteiasi

The Pro-Ant Festival is one of the most deeply rooted charity events in the municipality of Monteiasi, a small town in the province of Taranto, in the heart of Apulia. Established in 2010 by the Inter Club "E. Cambiasso", the festival donates all proceeds from the evenings to the Fondazione ANT Italia, the association that provides free home-based socio-health assistance to cancer patients and their families.

Music, Gastronomy, and Solidarity

For a few summer evenings, Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, in the characteristic Falò area, becomes the town's beating heart: a stage hosts live concerts, cover bands, and tribute bands ranging from Italian pop to rock, while stalls set up by volunteers offer specialties of Apulian cuisine and typical products from the Taranto area. Admission is free and open to all: you can participate freely and support the cause by purchasing food at the stands or through donations collected during the evenings.

A Tradition of Charity

Over more than fifteen editions, the Pro-Ant Festival has raised significant funds for the local ANT delegation, contributing over the years to the purchase of equipment and vehicles for patient care, including a van donated to the association. The event has become a staple of the Monteiasi summer calendar, attracting families, young people, and visitors from neighboring towns, all united by a convivial spirit and the common goal of solidarity.

Located just a few kilometers from Taranto, Monteiasi is a village in the Ionian province known for its compact historic center and lively community life. During the Pro-Ant Festival, the streets around the square come alive with music and aromas, offering visitors the chance to experience Apulian hospitality in an authentic, charitable context. The event is organized on a voluntary basis and proves every year how sports, a passion for music, and civic engagement can come together for a good cause.
