Ten days of flowers, gastronomy, and celebration in the village of Primulacco
In Primulacco, a village nestled between the municipalities of Tricesimo and Povoletto in the province of Udine, spring has a fixed appointment: the Flower Festival. Organized with great dedication by the Pro Loco Primulacco, the event is now a well-established tradition, reaching its 51st edition in 2026, and attracts thousands of visitors from all over Friuli every year.
The heart of the festival is the flower sales market, open for the entire duration of the event from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Amidst stalls overflowing with plants, flowers, and arrangements, visitors can stock up on colours for their gardens and balconies in anticipation of summer. To enrich the offering, there are moments dedicated to green culture, such as workshops and bonsai art.
Among the most anticipated events is the floral arrangement competition 'I Gift You a Bouquet', which showcases the creativity and flair of enthusiasts and florists in creating bouquets and arrangements. It's a moment that combines friendly competition and beauty, perfectly in line with the spirit of the festival.
Alongside the flowers, there are plenty of food stalls offering the flavours of Friuli, dancing evenings, and concerts – from dance orchestras to tributes to great bands – as well as tournaments (minivolley, table football, the traditional game of morra) and activities for families. A proven formula that makes the Flower Festival an event for all ages.
Primulacco is located in the first hilly area north of Udine, a land of villages, vineyards, and rural traditions. The festival is also an opportunity to discover this corner of the Friulian foothills, just a few minutes from the provincial capital and the hills of eastern Friuli.
The 2026 edition of the Primulacco Flower Festival, the 51st, will bring life to the village from May 15th to 24th. The flower market will be open throughout the event from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, alongside gastronomy, concerts, dancing evenings, tournaments, and family activities.
Food stalls active throughout the festival. The full program with all times is published on the Pro Loco Primulacco website.
