Predappio's summer program of comedy, music, open-air cinema, and dance
Predappio Vive l'Estate is the summer program promoted by the Municipality of Predappio, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in the heart of Romagna and Emilia-Romagna. For about two months, the festival transforms the symbolic places of the territory into spaces for meeting, entertainment, and sharing, with a cultural offering spread across the historic center, the hamlets, and the most evocative corners of the municipal area.
The initiative stems from the collaboration between the municipal administration and the Cultural Association «Teatro delle Forchette» APS, with the artistic direction of Stefano Naldi. The goal is to offer a program capable of engaging all age groups, focusing on the community, young people, and the enhancement of local heritage.
In July, the Foro Boario transforms into an arena dedicated to satire and authorial comedy with the festival «Predappio Ride – Foro Boario Edition». Among the announced guests are two protagonists of the national scene: comedian, musician, and singer-songwriter Sergio Sgrilli with the show «Vieni che te le suono», which retraces over thirty years of his career through stories, live music, and moments of great comedy, and Dario Vergassola with «Manovale Gentiluomo», a journey through autobiographical episodes, social satire, and observations on daily life.
The program opens with the «Predappio Sound Night» in Piazza Garibaldi, a musical evening in the heart of the town with the band Margò, originally from Predappio, and a space dedicated to emerging local groups. Among the most anticipated events is the traditional Sunrise Concert at the Rocca delle Caminate, with the sunrise accompanied by the notes of the group Onirica. There is also open-air cinema at the Park of Palazzo Varano, with free screenings under the stars, and the Dance Festival, which closes the season with world dances and food stalls.
Alongside the shows, the festival offers moments of conviviality such as the «White Dinner» in Piazza Garibaldi, which transforms the town center into a large outdoor living room with a strictly white dress code, vocalists, and a DJ set. The program also includes events dedicated to children, with theater performances for children presented during the season.
Spread across June and August, Predappio Vive l'Estate is an opportunity to experience the town and its hamlets, discovering places like the Rocca delle Caminate and the Park of Palazzo Varano in a festive atmosphere. The detailed program is presented week by week, with new events added to those already announced.
The 2026 edition of Predappio Vive l'Estate, promoted by the Municipality of Predappio with the Association «Teatro delle Forchette» APS and artistic direction by Stefano Naldi, offers two months of events including comedy, music, cinema, and dance.
The already announced events range from the opening evening «Predappio Sound Night» (June 22, Piazza Garibaldi) to the comedy festival «Predappio Ride» at the Foro Boario, with Sergio Sgrilli on July 13 and Dario Vergassola on July 28, to the Sunrise Concert on July 18 at the Rocca delle Caminate and the Dance Festival on August 28.
Predappio is located in the province of Forlì-Cesena, about 15 km from Forlì along the SS9ter. By car, it can be reached from the Forlì exit of the A14 motorway, continuing towards the Rabbi Valley. The reference train station is Forlì, connected to Predappio by intercity buses.
Many events in the festival are free admission, such as the open-air cinema screenings. For evening shows at the Foro Boario, it is advisable to check access and booking procedures with the Municipality of Predappio or the Association «Teatro delle Forchette» APS.
