The challenge between the plateau's villages and the Val di Non open-air festival
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Predaia senza Frontiere is one of the most beloved summer events on the plateau, located in the Municipality of Predaia, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Inspired by the famous "It's a Knockout" television games, the event transforms the Parco alla Torre di Coredo into a massive playground where local villages compete in skill tests, relays, and comedic circuits to win the coveted Palio della Predaia.
Each edition features teams from the various villages of the plateau—including Mollaro, Segno, Vervò, Dermulo, Sfruz, Coredo, Smarano, Tres, and Priò—battling for victory in a long series of trials. Popular games include water volleyball, human foosball, tug-of-war, and obstacle relays, blending strength, teamwork, and plenty of self-deprecating humor.
The winning team is awarded the Palio della Predaia, a trophy crafted by a local artist where champions can engrave their names alongside past winners: Vervò (2017, 2018, and 2023), Priò (2019), Mollaro (2022), Tres (2024), and Coredo (2025). The friendly rivalry between the villages is the true driving force of the event, strengthening the plateau's identity and sense of community every year.
Once the games conclude, the park transforms into a massive party for the rest of the evening: the Open Air Music Festival offers hours of non-stop music with DJ sets that keep the crowd dancing from the afternoon until late at night. A bar, food stalls, and bouncy castles for children round out the day, making it perfect for families, young people, and enthusiasts from across the plateau.
The event is organized by the PreGio Eventi (Predaia Youth Events) committee, born from the initiative of local young people as part of the Terra di Mezzo Youth Plan, which involves the municipalities of Predaia and Sfruz. Admission is free, in line with the event's inclusive and participatory spirit.
The Parco alla Torre in Coredo, within the Municipality of Predaia, is nestled in the greenery of the Val di Non plateau, one of the most picturesque valleys in Trentino, famous for its apple orchards and alpine landscapes. The natural setting makes Predaia senza Frontiere the perfect destination for a family day out in the fresh air.
The PreGio Eventi committee has not yet published the official dates for the 2026 edition of Predaia senza Frontiere. The event usually takes place in the summer, during the warmer months, at the Parco alla Torre in Coredo (Municipality of Predaia). The format includes the challenge between the plateau's villages for the Palio della Predaia and the Open Air Music Festival with DJ sets. The detailed program will be communicated by the organizers through the channels of the Terra di Mezzo Youth Plan.
Predaia can be reached by car via the SS43 road in Val di Non; the Parco alla Torre area is located in the village of Coredo. By train, the Trento-Malè-Mezzana railway serves the Val di Non, with connecting bus services to the plateau.
Admission is free. Throughout the day, a bar, food stalls, and bouncy castles for children are available.
This is an outdoor event: comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, and sun protection are recommended. For updated dates and programs, please refer to the PreGio Eventi committee's official channels.
