The only Italian stage of the World Cup Skateboarding circuit, held on the concrete bowl in Almese
There is a small town in the Susa Valley, in the Province of Turin, that becomes the Italian capital of skateboarding once a year: Almese, home to Poolarama, the only Italian stage of the prestigious official World Cup Skateboarding circuit. For the second consecutive season, the event is one of the ten global stops on the international calendar: a milestone that definitively confirms its prestige and brings some of the best riders on the planet to Piedmont.
The heart of Poolarama is the spectacular concrete bowl on Via Granaglie, a structure made entirely of concrete that is unique in Italy. Here, athletes perform breathtaking maneuvers, taking advantage of the bowl's curves and transitions. In addition to the bowl, riders have access to a 3-meter high and 5-meter wide vertical ramp and various street structures positioned on the road in front of the competition area, providing a complete playground that tests all skateboarding disciplines.
Over the two days, riders from all over Italy and abroad compete for the highest prize pool ever offered in the contest's history, creating a battle down to the very last trick. But Poolarama is not just about competition: it is a highly recreational event, designed even for those who do not skate. Surrounding the competition area, you will find street food stands, stalls, markets, commercial areas, and entertainment spaces, all within a dynamic, inclusive, and vibrant atmosphere that welcomes skaters, fans, families, and curious visitors alike.
Organized by the Icona Skateboard Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Almese and the Piedmont Region, Poolarama is now a permanent fixture in the Susa Valley's summer sports calendar. Born as a gathering for local enthusiasts, it has grown edition after edition to join the world circuit, bringing the best of international skate culture to Almese. Admission is free, confirming the popular and community-focused spirit of an event that blends sport, spectacle, and local festivities.
The 2026 edition of Poolarama is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, and Sunday, September 6th, at the concrete bowl in the sports area of Via Granaglie in Almese, in the Susa Valley. The event confirms its status as the only Italian stage of the global World Cup Skateboarding circuit, bringing world-class riders back to Piedmont.
As per tradition, athletes will compete on the concrete bowl, the vertical ramp, and the street structures, while street food, stalls, and social gathering spaces will be available around the competition area. Admission will be free.
