About Sound Panoramas

Sound Panoramas is the autumn chapter of the Suoni in Movimento festival, dedicated entirely to young performers under 35. From September 6 to November 13, 2026, the Castle of Roppolo (Biella Province) and other evocative locations in the Biella area host concerts that weave together great classical repertoire, world-premiere compositions, electronic music, and wellness. A refined series curated by NISI ArteMusica.

Sound Panoramas: the voice of the new generation in Roppolo

In the heart of the Biella region, perched on a hill overlooking Lake Viverone and the Serra moraine, the Castle of Roppolo becomes the stage every autumn for Sound Panoramas, the concluding section of the Suoni in Movimento festival. Located in the municipality of Roppolo, in the Province of Biella and the wider Piedmont region, this series is a highly anticipated event for those who love classical music performed in settings of great scenic charm.

A festival dedicated to the under-35s

What makes Sound Panoramas unique is its vocation: it is a concert series entirely dedicated to young artists under 35, designed as a space for experimentation, dialogue, and the promotion of youth creativity. Here, the classical repertoire meets contemporary music, electronics, and new technologies in programs that alternate between famous masterpieces and new compositions. The section is curated by the youth artistic committee of NISI ArteMusica, with Camilla Patria as a key figure for the autumn events and under-35 activities.

More than just a concert

Sound Panoramas is part of a larger project: the Suoni in Movimento festival, produced by the NISI ArteMusica association (Nuovo Insieme Strumentale Italiano), which for over fifteen years has been enlivening the Biella area with great music of yesterday and tomorrow within the walls of the most beautiful historic sites in the region. The 2026 edition is divided into three macro-sections — the Spring Musical, the Sound Paths in the Biella Museum Network, and, for the finale, Sound Panoramas — touching castles, churches, museums, and auditoriums between Salussola, Viverone, Roppolo, Cavaglià, and Biella.

Between music, landscape, and wellness

The common thread of the festival is the link between artistic experience, inner balance, and connection with the environment. It is no coincidence that the festival offers sunrise concerts, guided walks, and immersive listening sessions, in addition to the «New Sound Paths» project which, in collaboration with the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Turin, commissions, performs, and records live new world-premiere pieces by composers under 35. The performances are then published on the association's YouTube channel, extending the life of each concert well beyond the evening.

Sound Panoramas — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Sound Panoramas brings seven events to the Castle of Roppolo and the Biella area between September 6 and November 13, featuring exclusively under-35 performers: sunrise concerts, piano recitals, chamber ensembles, orchestral conducting masterclasses, and world premieres commissioned from young composers.

The autumn section of Suoni in Movimento confirms its identity for 2026: space for emerging talents, dialogue between classical repertoire and new music, and locations of great charm in the Biella territory. From the sunrise concert on Lake Viverone to the grand orchestral finale in Biella, the program alternates between chamber intimacy and symphonic breadth, with the recurring presence of cellist Camilla Patria and the NISI ArteMusica String Orchestra.
