About Pitti Uomo

Pitti Immagine Uomo is the world's premier trade show dedicated to menswear and contemporary lifestyle. Twice a year, in January and June, Florence's Fortezza da Basso welcomes hundreds of global brands, buyers, journalists, and enthusiasts, turning the Tuscan capital into the global hub of menswear. With fashion shows, scenic installations, guest designers, and special projects, Pitti Uomo is much more than a trade fair: it is a premier trend observatory and a major city-wide event that brings Florence to life.

Pitti Uomo, the global capital of menswear

Twice a year, in January and June, Florence becomes the gravitational center of international menswear. Pitti Immagine Uomo is the most prestigious and influential trade show dedicated to men's fashion and contemporary lifestyles. At the Fortezza da Basso, the grand Medici citadel in the heart of Florence, hundreds of brands from around the world, thousands of buyers, and a crowd of journalists, photographers, influencers, and enthusiasts gather. This is where upcoming collections are previewed and the pulse of men's fashion is taken.

A historic event in the heart of Tuscany

Organized by Pitti Immagine, the show has its roots in the early 1970s and is now recognized as one of Italy's most important trade events, having been awarded the status of a historic brand. Its strength lies in the combination of commercial scale and cultural research: alongside the exhibition stands, every edition features internationally renowned guest designers, fashion shows, artistic installations, and special projects that transform the fair into an authentic festival spread throughout the city.

The sections of the show

The exhibition is divided into thematic areas that cover the entire universe of contemporary menswear:

  • Fantastic Classic โ€” high-end tailoring and the excellence of Made in Italy;
  • Futuro Maschile โ€” research, luxury, and new creative directions;
  • Dynamic Attitude โ€” sportswear and streetwear;
  • Superstyling โ€” experimental aesthetics and cross-pollination;
  • I Go Out โ€” outdoor, travel, and lifestyle.

More than a fair: a city-wide event

During the days of Pitti, Florence fills with side events: fashion shows in historic theaters, presentations in villas and palaces, parties, exhibitions, and art projects that involve iconic city landmarks, from the Teatro della Pergola to the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The famous Pitti People phenomenon โ€” the elegant and sophisticated crowd that fills the avenues of the Fortezza โ€” has become an integral part of the spectacle and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for street style worldwide.

Why it's worth it

For industry professionals, Pitti Uomo is an unmissable appointment to discover collections and trends; for the city of Florence and all of Tuscany, it is a major economic and cultural driver. Even for those outside the industry, experiencing the atmosphere of Pitti means breathing in the creativity, elegance, and international energy that animate the Tuscan capital twice a year.

The 110th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo returns to the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from June 16 to 19, 2026, to present the Spring/Summer 2027 international menswear collections. Over 720 exhibiting brands, arriving from more than 30 countries, make the Tuscan capital the premier observatory for the directions of men's fashion.

The creative theme chosen for this edition is THE POOL: the symbolic image is that of a modern Narcissus poolside, suspended between reflections, image construction, and the search for identity. The scenic heart of the event is a large monumental installation in the Central Square of the Fortezza.
