Fabbrica Europa is one of Italy's most significant festivals dedicated to contemporary performing arts. Every year, for about a month between September and October, it turns Florence into a vast laboratory of artistic experimentation, with a program that weaves together dance, music, theater, performance, visual arts, and multimedia languages. Promoted by the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa per le arti contemporanee ETS, the festival was founded in 1994 and has since brought some of the most innovative voices on the national and international scene to the Tuscan capital.
A festival spread throughout the city
The heart of the event is the PARC Performing Arts Research Centre, housed in the former Fiat Thermal Power Plant in the Novoli district, but the festival is inherently decentralized, inhabiting numerous locations across the city each year: museums, cloisters, historic theaters, and urban spaces. Recent editions have spanned the Museo Marino Marini, the Palazzina Reale, the Teatro della Pergola, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro Puccini, and the Teatro Cantiere Florida, turning the entire city into a contemporary stage.

Getting there
Florence is easily accessible by train (Santa Maria Novella station, a high-speed rail hub) and by air (Florence-Peretola Airport). The PARC, the main venue, is located in the Novoli district, served by the tram line and city buses. Other venues are distributed throughout the city center and are reachable on foot or by public transport.
Tickets
