The New Year's Eve of Summer on the Romagna Riviera in Cesenatico
The Pink Night is the famous New Year's Eve of Summer on the Romagna Riviera, a widespread event that every year, on the weekend of the summer solstice, lights up dozens of locations from Comacchio to Cattolica. In Cesenatico, in the municipality of the Province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna, the celebration is concentrated in the scenic Piazza Andrea Costa, overlooking the Leonardesque Canal Port, which for the occasion transforms into a large open-air stage.
The 2026 edition, scheduled from June 19 to 21, carries the slogan "Hit's Summer", a play on words that combines "It's Summer" and the idea of musical "hits," the true protagonists of the event. Music is indeed the common thread of this 21st edition: Radio Bruno animates Piazza Andrea Costa and connects live with other squares on the coast, creating a single "soundscape" that runs through the entire Riviera.
The heart of the celebration is the color pink, which tints shop windows, venues, and monuments: in Cesenatico, the iconic skyscraper lights up pink for all evenings, while at midnight, fireworks launched from the water illuminate the beach and coastline. It's a night that mixes great concerts, DJ sets, entertainment, markets, and activities for families, in an atmosphere that perfectly captures the welcoming and festive spirit of Romagna.
The Pink Night is a free event open to all, capable of attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors along the coast every year. In Cesenatico, numerous city initiatives complement the musical programming, from evening store openings to activities along the promenade and in the historic center around the Canal Port. An unmissable event for those who want to experience the first great summer weekend on the Romagna Riviera.
