The pink evening in Tor San Lorenzo against violence towards women
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Pink Night for Ardea is a widespread event that, in late autumn, lights up the district of Tor San Lorenzo in pink. Located on the coast of the Municipality of Ardea, within the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital in the Lazio region, the event combines the festive soul of a town square evening with a powerful civic message: pink becomes the symbol of rejecting violence against women and a commitment to dignity, safety, and women's rights.
For the occasion, a section of the center of Tor San Lorenzo is entirely pedestrianized to safely welcome families, young people, and residents. Along the Viale di Tor San Lorenzo, a lively path unfolds, dotted with stages, stalls, and refreshment points, where the community gathers until late in the evening.
Alongside the festivities, the Pink Night dedicates significant space to reflection: debates and round tables address the issue of gender-based violence and the so-called 'red codes', with contributions from experts, criminologists, and lawyers. The underlying idea is to combat violence against women through culture, presence, and unity, making the event an opportunity for collective growth as well as leisure.
The event is promoted by the Municipality of Ardea together with the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital and the Associazione Nuova California 2006 ODV, with the involvement of citizens and local entities. Conceived as the first step of a tradition destined to grow over the years, the Pink Night for Ardea aims to be an identity-defining appointment for Tor San Lorenzo and the entire Ardeatine coast, capable of intertwining celebration, solidarity, and participation.
The second edition of the Pink Night for Ardea has not yet been officially scheduled. The organizers have expressed their intention to repeat the event in Tor San Lorenzo, following the success of 2025, maintaining the formula of a pedestrian path animated by shows, crafts, gastronomy, and debates on combating gender-based violence. Dates, times, and detailed programs will be communicated by the Municipality of Ardea.
The Pink Night for Ardea takes place along the Viale di Tor San Lorenzo, a district of Ardea (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio). During the event, part of the center is pedestrianized.
By car from Rome, you can reach Ardea via the Via Pontina (SS148) and the Via Laurentina; Tor San Lorenzo is located on the coast, along the Via Ardeatina. The nearest train stations are Campoleone or Marechiaro-Lido di Lavinio, from which you can continue by bus or car.
Access to the event is free. For schedules, updated programs, and information, it is recommended to check the official channels of the Municipality of Ardea.
