About Pianofestival Spring

Every spring, the Pianofestival Spring brings the Chiesa dell'Immacolata in Aversa, Caserta province, to life with a series of piano and chamber music performances. Solo recitals, chamber ensembles, and thematic programs showcase Italian and international musicians, spanning from Baroque repertoire to jazz. Promoted by the Anna Jervolino Association and the Caserta Chamber Orchestra, the event blends great music with charity: a portion of the proceeds supports the restoration of the city's artistic heritage, following the principle that art helps art.

A spring of great piano music in Aversa

The Pianofestival Spring is a musical series that, every spring, transforms the Chiesa dell'Immacolata on Via San Nicola in Aversa into an intimate and evocative concert hall. Located in the heart of the Norman city, in the province of Caserta and the center of Campania, the event offers an itinerary of piano recitals and chamber music that weaves together diverse repertoires, performers, and architectural spaces. The fourth edition, scheduled from May 10 to June 28, 2026, brings together eleven concerts ranging from the Baroque era to the 20th century, including jazz influences.

Italian and international pianists

Each year, the festival hosts established soloists and young talents from the national and international scene. The 2026 edition features pianists such as Massimiliano Monopoli, Roberto de Leonardis, Nicolas Salloum, Amedeo Cannas, Vincenzo Pavone, Riccardo Natale, and Andrea Cantรน, alongside chamber ensembles with cello and piano, and the special Music Day event on June 21. The program covers works by Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Shostakovich, and Mussorgsky, without forgetting more modern and improvisational pieces.

Music, culture, and solidarity

A distinctive feature of the festival is the "Art Helps Art" project: proceeds from tickets and subscriptions are dedicated to the restoration of the altarpiece of the Chiesa dell'Immacolata, thus linking musical enjoyment to the protection of Aversa's historical and artistic heritage. The artistic direction is led by Antonino Cascio, while organizational coordination is managed by the Proloco Aversa Normanna, in collaboration with the Archconfraternity of the SS. Immacolata.

A widespread and educational festival

In addition to evening concerts, the Pianofestival Spring offers educational and outreach moments, such as meetings aimed at students of the Domenico Cirillo Musical High School in Aversa, with the goal of bringing new generations closer to classical music. The Music Day on June 21, with free admission, expands the audience with a morning concert and an evening recital that blends classical and jazz.
