The Pianella Fair is one of the most cherished events in the village of Pianella, a small hamlet in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena, in the heart of the Sienese Chianti. The fair traditionally takes place on the fourth Sunday of May, from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, in Piazza Angelo Vassallo, in the center of Pianella. The square is dedicated to the "fisherman mayor" of Pollica, a symbol of commitment to legality and sustainable development—values also upheld by Castelnuovo Berardenga, which is part of the international Cittaslow network.

What to find at the fair

The market area hosts about fifteen stalls ranging from food to non-food items. Among the stalls, you can find:
