The largest piadina fair in Italy
Piadiniamo is the grand festival that every summer transforms the historic center of Savignano sul Rubicone, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena, into an authentic open-air Romagna village. For three evenings, the Romagna piadina becomes the absolute protagonist: prepared by the most prestigious stalls in the area, it tells, through recipes, ingredients, and ancient techniques, all the richness of local gastronomic culture. Known as "the largest piadina fair in Italy," the event attracts thousands of visitors every year from all over Emilia-Romagna and beyond.
The heart of the festival is the tasting route that winds through the streets and squares of the center: the stalls offer dozens of variations, from the classic prosciutto and squacquerone to more creative versions and sweet piadinas. Around the food, a rich program comes to life with popular music, folk shows, traditional games, street artists, and demonstrations of ancient crafts. The parade of the Sciucarèn, the whip crackers of peasant tradition, is one of the most evocative and identity-defining moments of the event.
Piazza Bartolomeo Borghesi hosts the charming Piadiniamo Gardens, a green space dedicated to relaxation, conviviality, and live music, designed to experience the festival atmosphere in the most authentic way. Ample space is also reserved for creative workshops for adults and children, with practical activities to learn how to prepare piadinas and cookies according to ancient peasant traditions. Among the most recent innovations is the Piadiniamo Wellness Pavilion, dedicated to well-being and healthy lifestyles, with meetings and discussions related to nutrition.
More than a gastronomic fair, Piadiniamo is a popular festival that celebrates the identity of Romagna: the conviviality of the square, the dialect, the smooth music, and the songs of folk groups, crafts, and typical products. To complete the offer, a market of local products and artisanal creations enlivens the evenings. It is a perfect opportunity to discover Savignano sul Rubicone, a town crossed by the historic Rubicon river, and to immerse yourself in the most genuine traditions of this part of Italy.
The 2026 edition of Piadiniamo takes place from July 17th to 19th in the historic center of Savignano sul Rubicone.
