About Perugia Jazz Half Marathon
Running to the rhythm of jazz
The Perugia Jazz Half Marathon is a competitive half marathon of 21.097 km that winds along the banks of the Tiber river, on a flat course connecting Ponte Pattoli to Ponte San Giovanni, districts of Perugia. Along the route, surrounded by greenery, there are jazz music stations that accompany the athletes.
Sport and music under the banner of Umbria Jazz
The race is organized by Umbria Crossing in collaboration with Umbria Jazz, of which it is part of the official program, with the patronage of the Umbria Region and the Municipality of Perugia. It is a national FIDAL race and it is inspired by the Perugian running tradition of the eighties.
Party along the Tiber
The sporting event is accompanied by a party with a jazz aperitif on the eve of the race and a welcome area at the finish line, in the Tiber Park, with live music, craft beer, and recovery services for athletes. An event that intertwines running with the musical identity of Perugia and Umbria.
Perugia Jazz Half Marathon — edition 2026
The inaugural edition of the Perugia Jazz Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM. The flat 21.097 km course follows the Tiber river from Ponte Pattoli to Ponte San Giovanni, with jazz music stations along the route.
On the eve, Friday, July 3, bib collection (3:00 PM-8:00 PM) and an official party from 6:00 PM with a jazz aperitif are scheduled at the Fastweb Padel Arena in Torgiano. At the finish line, in the Tiber Park, there will be a welcome with live music, craft beer, and recovery services. The race is organized by Umbria Crossing, it is a national FIDAL race and is part of the official Umbria Jazz program, with the patronage of the Umbria Region and the Municipality of Perugia.

The race takes place along the Tiber between the Perugian districts of Ponte Pattoli and Ponte San Giovanni, reachable by car from the E45 (Ponte Pattoli and Ponte San Giovanni exits). Ponte San Giovanni train station nearby.
