The Spartan Race Gubbio is an Italian stop on the famous international obstacle course racing (OCR) circuit. It takes place in Gubbio (Province of Perugia) and brings thousands of athletes and enthusiasts to the Umbrian city for a weekend of sport and adrenaline.
The Trifecta Weekend
The format is the Trifecta Weekend: over two days, participants can complete the three race formats — Sprint (5K, approx. 20 obstacles), Super (10K, approx. 25 obstacles), and Beast (21K, approx. 30 obstacles) — earning the 'Trifecta' in a single weekend. There is also the Kids Race for children and the Hurricane Heat challenge.
A unique course
What makes the Gubbio stop special is the setting: the courses combine the streets of the medieval historic center with the natural and wooded trails of the surrounding area, ending at the finish line set up in the Roman Theater Park, where athletes face the final obstacles against the backdrop of the ancient Roman theater. An unprecedented blend of extreme sport and historical heritage.
Spartan Race Gubbio — edition 2026
The Spartan Race Gubbio 2026 takes place on November 7 and 8 in the Trifecta Weekend format, allowing participants to complete the three race formats in a single weekend. The courses alternate between the streets of the historic center and the wooded trails of the area, with the finish line set up in the Roman Theater Park.
In addition to the competitive races, there will be a Kids Race for children and the Hurricane Heat challenge. Registration is done online on the official website, for individual races or with a Trifecta pass.
