Craft beer, street food, and live music in the village of Pellegrino
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Pellegrino Beer Festival is a summer highlight held in the village of the same name in Monforte San Giorgio, a small town in the province of Messina overlooking the hills that slope down toward the Tyrrhenian side of Sicily. Every year in July, Piazza Cagini transforms into the beating heart of the village: tables, stalls, and a stage come alive in the evening, when the temperature cools down and the festivities begin.
As the name suggests, the undisputed star of the event is beer, with a special focus on craft labels. To accompany your pint, there is plenty of street food to enjoy while standing or sitting at the tables set up in the square, in the informal and convivial atmosphere typical of Sicilian village festivals. It is the perfect opportunity to discover local flavors in a simple and authentic setting.
The evening is punctuated by entertainment and live music, turning the festival into a true community celebration. Performances usually start at 9:00 PM, accompanying dinner and continuing late into the night, bringing joy and social spirit to guests of all ages.
The event is organized by the Gli Amici di Pellegrino Association, a local volunteer group dedicated to enhancing the village and promoting its traditions. Thanks to the members' commitment, the festival serves as a moment of connection that strengthens the community's bond with their village and helps keep the identity of this corner of the Messina Nebrodi alive.
Located a short distance from the Tyrrhenian coast, the Municipality of Monforte San Giorgio boasts a rich calendar of festivals and traditions throughout the year, ranging from historical re-enactments to patronal feasts. The Pellegrino Beer Festival fits into this vibrant fabric as one of the most cherished summer events, combining taste, music, and conviviality in an evening to be spent outdoors, in the heart of the province of Messina, Sicily.
The Pellegrino Beer Festival will return in the summer of 2026, confirming its traditional July appointment in Piazza Cagini, in the Pellegrino district of Monforte San Giorgio. As always, the evening will feature craft beer, street food, and live music in a convivial and family-friendly atmosphere.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced, nor has the musical program for the evening. To find out the exact day, times, and guests, we recommend following the updates from the Gli Amici di Pellegrino Association.
