A community celebration in the heart of Riva del Garda

The Patronal Feast of Saints Peter and Paul is one of the most cherished summer events in Riva. It takes place annually during the last week of June at the Don Primo Mazzolari Oratory park, located on Via Filanda in the S. Alessandro district, just a stone's throw from the historic center of Riva del Garda, in the Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Dedicated to the city's two patron saints, the festival combines religious observance with social gatherings, bringing together families, children, young people, and sports enthusiasts of all ages.

Organization and spirit of the event

The event is promoted and organized by the Circolo Oratorio Don Primo Mazzolari APS, an association that has managed the S. Alessandro oratory grounds since the 1980s, complete with tennis courts, a soccer field, a basketball court, activity rooms, and a kitchen. Proceeds from the festival support educational and recreational activities for the parish community's youth.

A program of sport, music, and gastronomy

The heart of the festival lies in its amateur tournaments, open to all ages and skill levels. Throughout the week, competitions are held in:

Throughout the festival, bars and food stalls are open, offering traditional local dishes, complemented by a special Fast Food Night featuring high-quality gourmet sandwiches. It is the perfect opportunity to gather for an outdoor meal under the trees of the oratory park.

The most solemn moment is the holy mass on June 29th, the liturgical feast day of Saints Peter and Paul, which concludes the week of celebrations alongside the tournament awards ceremony.
