The Parma Half Marathon is the most anticipated running event in the municipality of Parma, a city of art and gastronomy in Emilia-Romagna. Organized by CUS Parma A.S.D., the event takes place every year in September and transforms the historic center into a large sports circuit: the main race is the competitive half marathon over the classic distance of 21.0975 km, FIDAL homologated, with start and finish in Piazza Garibaldi.
A route through the city's most ancient streets
What makes this race special is the route: it doesn't wind through the outskirts but crosses Parma's most ancient and evocative streets, passing by glimpses and monuments of the historic center. It is a flat course, with very slight undulations, ideal both for those seeking a good time and for those running for the pleasure of it. The streets closed to traffic and the crowds along the route provide the backdrop for a day of celebration that involves the entire community.
Not just 21 km: a program for everyone
Alongside the half marathon, the program offers various options for every level and age:
- Parma Ten — the competitive 10 km;
- Parma Ten Special — the non-competitive 10 km, for those who want to run or walk without the pressure of the clock;
- Corri per la vita — the 5 km charity walk, open to all, symbolizing the event's solidarity focus;
- Erreà Parma Kids — races dedicated to children and teenagers.

2026 Edition
The XXVIII edition of the Parma Half Marathon will be run on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the historic center of Parma. The start of all races is set for 9:15 AM in Piazza Garibaldi. The half marathon course, FIDAL homologated over 21.0975 km, is flat and crosses the city's most ancient streets, with a maximum time of 3 hours.

Registration and bib collection
Half marathon fees start from €20, and the total number of participants is limited to 3,000. Bib collection takes place at the operational office at via Università 12, on Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8.

When and where
Sunday, September 13, 2026, with the start of all races at 9:15 AM from Piazza Garibaldi, in the historic center of Parma (ZIP code 43121).
How to get there
By train: Parma station is on the Milan-Bologna line and is about a 15-minute walk from Piazza Garibaldi. By car: Parma exit from the A1 motorway; it is advisable to use parking lots outside the center due to road closures. By plane: Parma 'Giuseppe Verdi' airport is a few kilometers away; alternatively, Bologna or Milan.
Registration and fees
Half marathon from €20 (by March 31) up to €35 (on-site registration). The fee includes bib with chip, medical assistance, refreshment points, technical shirt, medal, bag drop, changing rooms, and showers. Bib collection at the operational office at via Università 12: Saturday, September 7 (10:00 AM-7:00 PM) and Sunday, September 8 (7:00 AM-9:00 AM).
