The Parish Festival in Acuto

The Parish Festival, often referred to as Vicoli in Festa, is one of the most popular events of the summer in Acuto, a small town of just over 1,800 inhabitants perched at an altitude of 724 meters on the slopes of the Monti Ernici, in the province of Frosinone, in the heart of the Ciociaria region. Every year, in early August, the alleys of the historic center fill with people, lights, and aromas, in a celebration that combines the religious and communal spirit of the parish with the joy of being together.

An event in the heart of the Acuto Summer

The festival is not an isolated event, but the highlight of a long summer calendar, the Acuto Summer, which accompanies the town from July to the end of August with concerts, food festivals, shows, and themed evenings. Typically held at the beginning of the month, the Parish Festival effectively kicks off the most intense period of the season, which continues with the Sports Festival, Acuto Jazz, the Saltaranta folk music festival, and the Ferragosto celebrations.

Through the alleys of the village

The charm of the event lies in its setting: the narrow streets of the historic center of Acuto, with their stone houses, arches, and small squares, become the natural stage for the festival. Along the route, you will find food stalls serving traditional Ciociaria dishes, music spots, and convivial corners where people stop to chat and enjoy a glass of local wine.
