The evening is part of the Comitato On The Road calendar, a project promoted by the 2026 Patronal Festival Committee, chaired by Nino Barione. It is a series of itinerant events that, step by step, accompanies Terlizzi toward its longest and most heartfelt celebration: the Festa Maggiore in honor of Maria Santissima di Sovereto, whose climax is the procession of the Triumphal Chariot on August 9, 2026, and the major August events in Piazza Cavour. The Panzerotto Festival, organized in collaboration with I 3 Maialini, is designed as a social moment that strengthens the sense of participation and belonging that has always animated the patronal festivities.

A deep-rooted tradition in Terlizzi

The cult of the panzerotto is at home in Terlizzi all year round: the city boasts a long tradition of festivals dedicated to this specialty, which has surpassed thirty editions over the years and is also deeply linked to the winter festivities of Saint Lucy. This new late-August evening brings this gastronomic heritage into the heart of summer, amidst the lights and atmosphere of the preparations for the Festa Maggiore.
