Ottobre Manzoniano is the most important cultural festival in Cormano, in the Province of Milan. Born to celebrate the city's connection with Alessandro Manzoni, for over twenty years it has transformed the month of October into a large container of cultural events, with a theme that changes from edition to edition.

Dozens of events for everyone

The programme features theatre, music, conferences, and exhibitions, with dozens of events spread between the Teatro Bì — the main venue of the festival — and various locations in the city. The "Tuesdays of Culture" offer moments of reflection through different arts, while the Library becomes a reference point for younger audiences with animated readings, creative workshops, and games.

The Manzonian historical parade

Among the most evocative moments is the section "L'Ottobre Manzoniano per le vie e le piazze" (Ottobre Manzoniano through streets and squares), with the grand historical parade in costume that enlivens the streets of Cormano with theatrical scenes, music, and dances, bringing the atmosphere of Manzoni's era back to life. An event that involves the entire community and makes culture a widespread and participatory experience.

Part of the Autumn of Culture

Ottobre Manzoniano is now part of a broader programme, the Autunno di Cultura (Autumn of Culture), which extends Cormano's cultural offerings from September to December. An investment that confirms the city's vocation for culture and makes it a reference point for all of Northern Milan.
